Digital Skills Academy’s highly acclaimed WebElevate programme is a digital technology programme which has consistently delivered high employment outcomes for graduates. Within three months of graduating in March 2013, 71% of the programme’s starters are now in the workforce.
Delivered by Digital Skills Academy, with Dublin Institute of Technology as the awarding body, from October 2013 the programme will be offered as a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Digital Technology and Design (NFQ level 7).
The programme is focused on developing job-ready talent for the following employment roles:
Participants of the programme will learn from industry professionals, culminating in structured project-based work placements. Under the expert mentoring of industry professionals and programme teaching staff, and in collaboration with industry partner managers, teams work in project-based placements to develop applications and services in the fields of Apps for Mobile and Tablets, eCommerce services, Web Video products, Social Media Marketing and Mobile Games.
Over 80 companies and organisations have partnered with the WebElevate programme, ranging from start-ups to multinationals, including Telefonica Ireland, Ernst & Young, BT Ireland, Gill & Macmillan, Soundwave and Redeem & Get. Please see our Showcase area to see some example projects.

Funded through the Higher Education Authority's Springboard programme, WebElevate is free-of-charge for eligible jobseekers.
Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Digital Technology and Design, awarded by Dublin Institute of Technology (60 ECTS/Credits - National Framework of Qualifications Level 7).
For eligibility criteria, please visit SpringboardCourses.ie. Applications are invited from jobseekers with higher education awards at Level 7, 8 or higher, in disciplines directly-related to the programme streams. Applications are welcomed from candidates with significant experience in industry, and where such candidates do not have a Level 7 or higher qualification in a directly-related discipline, these applicants will be considered for entry through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
Digital Skills Academy has a dedicated Careers Manager who provides all participants support with planning their career.
Semester 3 includes workshops in CV Preparation and Interview Techniques. Participants will work with our Careers Manager to optimise CVs for specific target roles and employers. We maintain a database of labour market intelligence and publish job opportunities to an online noticeboard for participants. Our Careers Manager seeks to match participants to opportunities, and support participants in managing their own job search targets and schedules. This support will also be offered for a period of 3 months after programme completion.
